I’m an English songwriter and musician working in the AngloFolkyRockyProgyIndieAmericana field. Whatever that is! I play guitar, dobro mandolin and lap steel. My last solo CD “One Fine Morning”, received great reviews, and international radio play. I’m currently working with Autumn Dawn Leader in our duo The Way Out. Check us out here.
I was a little taken aback recently when a promoter in some pre-gig blurb described me as a veteran. I've just looked in the mirror. I can't deny it any longer. That's what I am. The white beard and grey hair tell their own tale. And the crows feet. I'm glad we've got that out of the way.
I’ve always been involved in music.
Here’s a quick CV :-
I perform solo and in various bands, trios, and duos at specialist music venues, festivals, folk clubs, pubs, theatres and art centres. I write and record music for advertising, storytelling, exercise, theatre and dance.
(And I’m always open to any other interesting collaborative projects)
I've taught guitar for my local education authority and university, and run guitar summer schools and workshops. I've opened shows for Angie Palmer, Jez Lowe, Slaid Cleaves, Tom Pacheco, Kate Campbell and Rod Picott, amongst many others.
I currently live in Leicestershire, on the edge of Charnwood Forest.
